Executive Board Members


Ed Sogan, President
Ed is a lifetime resident of Northeast Ohio, and a resident of Hudson since 1973. In 1976, Ed was hired to teach and coach for the Hudson City Schools. His children also attended the Hudson schools, and were involved in many activities and sports during their time there.

Ed retired in 2004 after thirty-five years in education, the last twenty-eight years spent in the Hudson City School District. His teaching career included instruction in all grade levels of Health and Physical Education, coaching track and football at the middle and high school. During his career, Ed was an assistant then head coach in both football and track, receiving the Summit County Football Coach of the Year Award in 1988. The last ten years of Ed's career were spent as the Director of Athletics for the Hudson City School District. As the Athletic Director, Ed was also active in the NE Ohio and State Athletic Directors Associations.

Ed is also a member of the Rotary Club of Hudson and serves on the Taste of Hudson Board of Directors.


Tom Tobin, Secretary
Tom moved to Hudson in 1969 and graduated from Hudson High School in 1979. He is a graduate of Miami University.

Tom is the former vice president of Lehman Brothers and is the co-founder and current president of American Endowment Foundation.

Tom enjoys giving back to his community. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Hudson, the current president of the Hudson Rotary Foundation, a board member of the Laurel Lake Retirement Community Foundation and is on the advisory group for Community First.


Dan Williams, Treasurer
Dan is a graduate of Westminster College and Kent State University. He spent the majority of his career in the Northeast Ohio area. He has been a professor at The University of Akron since 1970, teaching finance.

Dan is heavily involved in the Hudson community. He served as a Hudson City Councilman, on the Hudson Park Board, as a member of the Hudson Elementary task force, was the treasurer of the Hudson Athletic Booster Club and on the Hudson Young Life Committee just to name a few. He is currently a member for the Hudson Rotary Club and is a trustee for the Hudson Rotary Foundation.


Bill Wooldredge, Trustee
Bill is a business and community leader in Hudson. Bill's past experience in financial and executive management includes: Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for The B F Goodrich Company, Executive Vice President, Belden& Blake, an Ohio based Energy Company, Chief Financial Officer for King's Medical Company, a Hudson Ohio based company, and Treasurer for Insurance Company of North America.

In his role as President of the Hudson Economic Development Corporation and member of the Hudson Downtown Development Task force he was one of the community leaders who helped to envision the redevelopment of a former industrial site into Hudson's new First and Main downtown retail and housing complex. He founded and is now Chairman Emeritus of the Hudson Community Foundation. His other volunteer activities include: Trustee and Past Chairman, Akron Children's Hospital, Trustee Akron Children's Foundation, Trustee and former President, Hudson Economic Development Corporation, and member of Hudson Rotary. Bill is a past member of Hudson Schools Citizens' Financial Advisory Committee.


Jim Hackney, Operations
Jim has been a resident of Hudson since 1997, and has been deeply involved in the community ever since. He was a member of the Hudson City Schools Board of Education from 2002-2006. He served president of the Hudson Rotary Club from 2004-2005. He is a member of the board of trustees for the Actor's Summit Theater, president of the board of Trustees for the Hudson Community Foundation and president of the board of trustees for the Taste of Hudson.

He spent the majority of his career with the Ford Motor Company. He officially retired in 2003 from America's Body Company.


Kurt Nygaard, Trustee
Kurt Nygaard and his wife, Cindy, have lived in Hudson since 1983. Kurt graduated from Mount Union College, Alliance, OH, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Geology and Chemistry and did post-graduate work at The College of William & Mary, Williamsburg, VA. Kurt is Vice President of Sales for Harwick Standard Distribution Corporation, a chemical distributor serving the raw material needs of the rubber industry.

Kurt and Cindy have two children, Sara, a 2002 graduate of Hudson High School and now employed by Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Their son Patrick is a 2006 graduate of St. Vincent St. Mary's High School in Akron, OH and currently is a senior at John Carroll University.

Kurt and Cindy are also the majority owners of Downtown 140, a restaurant also on Main St. in Hudson. Kurt has been active over the years with the Hudson Soccer Association, a past president of the Hudson Athletic Booster Club and past Chair of Childrens' Hospital Medical Center of Akron.
